The Research Triangle region encompasses the U.S. Census Bureau's Combined Statistical Area (CSA) of Raleigh-Durham-Cary in the central Piedmont region of North Carolina. The estimated population of the Raleigh-Durham-Cary CSA was 1,635,974 as of July 1, 2007, with the Raleigh-Cary Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) portion estimated at 1,047,629 residents.[5] Most of Raleigh is located within Wake County, with a very small portion extending into Durham County[6]. New Rosebuds Remix by The Hood

Although we mentioned about a Rosebuds remix album back in May, the remixes are still coming from various artists on the web. The latest is Get Up, Get Out by The Hood Internet and it is a fantastic listen and download.

The Hood states that The Rosebuds contacted them “about one million years ago...about fooling with a track” for the Night of the Furies Remix Album. They “totally missed the boat” on that opportunity but have posted the track on their website.

The track mashes together the beat of The Rosebuds Get Up, Get Out with the lyrics of Aesop Rock’s None Shall Pass (which has a fabulous animated video). Embedded between Aesop’s stream of conscience wordings and the new wave darkness of the Rosebuds are Clipse-esque chants of “HEY”. These only make the song that much more groovy. It can only be assumed that a bit of Girl Talk is assumed as an influence on this track, but then again isn’t all mashup a derivative of The Beastie’s Paul’s Boutique?

I say that we all use the “HEY” chants when the Rosebuds play Get Up, Get Out at Cradle next week. Just think if Ivan, Kelly, Aesop and Clipse were on a stage together.....

Get Up, Get Out...HEY!!!!

Nevertheless, head over to The Hood to stream or download the track. And be sure to pick up the new Rosebuds album Life, Like when it comes out on October 7th.
