Almost two years after burning down, The Latta House (and the foundation that shares its name) has received funding for an archaeological dig of the property as well as money for a future memorial park.
The city has approved a request of $15,000 for the dig and will also set aside $50,000 for the future park. It is good to know that the hard work of the neighborhood and volunteers has been heard and respected. Preserving history in our city is important, even (historical) modern structures.
The Latta House Foundation is always looking for volunteers so contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it if there is anything you think you can do to help.
